I’ve been seeing and hearing this for a while now and it’s really bugging the hell out of me. Yes, I’ve some issues, but humour me for a moment here. I’m about to rail against web designers and developers referring to the menu icon as a “hamburger menu”. Seriously. I’m doing this.

I noticed something odd this morning after sharing a recent article from this blog. For some reason, theme assets like stylesheets and certain images were loading using http:// instead of https://, which I found strange because I’m pretty careful about keeping such things in mind when theme developing.
Those new to using Google Analytics may assume that when you set up tracking on your site, it automatically tracks activity on your site searches. This is something you have to set up manually, but it’s easy to do.
One of the things that I prefer to do when building a new WordPress theme is to keep performance in mind, and part of this means looking for opportunities to do reduce the number of plugins I’ll need to rely on.
